Tired of my K750’s remote control template for Media Player lacking a couple of functions, I have customized it a bit and thought I should share it with you. As you can see in the background image, it’s the same template but adding the Shuffle, Repeat, Full Screen and Mute functions of Windows Media Player. If your phone has a smaller screen resolution than 176x220 you can resample the image and edit the template with the Sony Ericsson Bluetooth Remote Control application.

Download SuperMediaPlayer.hid

Hi :)
I have a w810i and I'd also like to know how you install the .hid on the phone
The .hid doesn't seem to be recognized by the phone ( I can't execute it on the phone)
So please let me (us) know how do you install it :p
Perhaps my phone isn't compatible with it.. But i'd really like to change the remote control or add some functions. I used the Sony Ericsson Bluetooth Remote Control application and the result is a .hid too, so...
Thanks for helping me :)

Hi Luis  :)

I'm building an enhanced Winamp .hid, and the thought of having to redo all the graphics for the display bums me out.

So, my question is: could you please post or send over a vectorial version of the template you designed ?

I really like your vision of the navi joystick :)

Thank you in advance ;)

And for the other people asking how to install the .hid files: You have to use the OBEX (Object Exchange) profile of your BT dongle to send it to the phone, not place it directly in the file system.

Emil, you have to send the new .hid profile direct to the root of the file system of the phone.
Don´t put it inside a folder, it wont work.

Yeah, don't put it in a folder. If you're using bluetooth just open the My Bluetooth Places and drag it in the OBEX File Transfer folder. It will send it to the phone, the phone will recognize the file and place it in the remote control. Hope this helps. ;)

Is that the My Bluetooth Places?  Mine looks like this

If you don't see this, select View All Devices In Range, then select your phone, and a bunch of icons should appear depicting the services on the phone. One of them should be OBEX File Transfer. Right click on that that and select Create Shortcut. Click OK on the message that appears next. Then go back to My Bluetooth Places and you should see the OBEX File Transfer icon there. Then just drag and drop the .hid file in there.

What program/drivers are you using for your BT dongle?
My BT dongle was from IVT BlueSoleil, and it came with their own program for connecting to BT devices.
Looks like this ;

There's an Object Push service, but no Object Exchange.
As far as I know, I have no other way to connect to my k790 via BT without using their software.

With IVT BlueSoleil:
Right-click on the Object Push Service icon and select Send Objects.
A left-click will display an Open File dialog (change Files of type to All FIles (*.*)), select your saved .hid file.
Your phone will prompt to accept.
