I saw a picture of a flip Walkman phone(fake maybe?) yesterday....I will try to find it agian and post it here later....

this is the pic,its really fake,because this is a samsung e720,lol some photoshop edit and *tchan-ran* we have a w900.
Anyway that Ophira looks sweet,but i want a little joystick to playing fps and i'm not a fan of walkamn orange fascia,so i wanto to see the sakura in black or a w***model in black too

UPDATE: More spyphoto joy from forums net-wide! First of all, from the image of the back we read "2.0 Megapixel" (and we see a scant one-led flashlight) so this is finally the Walkman phone codenamed Sakura. Ophira, with the same rotating form factor but oriented to imaging, was said to come with a 3 megapixel camera, but the project has been cancelled or (we hope) postponed. Another photo side by side with its predecessor the S700 shows a slightly smaller screen, which on the other hand mantains the 320x240 pixel resolution, meaning even better definition. Black will be another available color for the Sony Ericsson Nano... errr... Sakura.

oh please please let it be quadband! Cingular customers need quadband, I couldn't buy the W800i cos of that. And w600/550 didnt have mem stick slot.

damn!thx for the pics,looks really sweet,but i'm afraid of the price,like i have in mind buying the k750,but i will wait for that sakura,but the sakura have a 4~6gb hdd right?and 3g,so the price probably will be high for me,anyway i want a joystick in that   sakura lol.what is the release date and price?

hey hey hey no hdd in there, maybe internal memory up to 256mb. these phones are powered by multi-gig memory stick duos still. even internal memory of 512mb would be pointless.

Thx, and sorry for the hdd confusion.
but anyway some people talk about the hdd of 5gb like the 3Mpixels cam,when they are talking about ophira.
No hdd is good for me,because i don't want the sakura to hear music(i will buy the new a3000 in november)so the price probaly will be good for me,well i hope so.

Sweet!anyway i prefer the s700 screen size.hmm the border of the display is similiar to the border of the k600(in differente color of course),lol only my observation of little details nothing special to know.Bah i still want to see it in black,but the keypad and the other keys seems a little cheap in white,but probably it's only my imagination.

First glance reminds me of iPods... is that what SE wants people to think? Associate their phone with iPod, so that it'll reach out even more to the mp3 player crowd? good move, I would say (although it sacrifices a little in terms of "creativity").

Anyway, its kind of sad to see that there's no protection for the camera lens at the back.. can't risk scratching it, can we? Also, the W850 (is the W850 the official name? This isn't exactly the direct successor of the S700, is it?) appears slimmer than the S700.

yeah but the lens protective plastic seems to be bigger and therefor easier to clean and repair.

If we take a look at the website (http://mobil.idnes.cz/mob_aktuality.asp?r=mob_aktuality&c=A050923_162801_mob_aktuality_ada) it looks like at least the hungarian version is 900/1800/1900 only. "Telefon je určen i pro sítě třetí generace UMTS a proto nechybí druhý fotoaparát na čele telefonu. Nechybí podpora tří pásem GSM (900/1800/1900 MHz), blesk pro hlavní fotoaparát, Bluetooth a infračervený port." I can't read hungarian, but i can clearly see the GSM 900/1800/1900 haha. Do you guys think SE will be generous enough to come out with a US/Cingular version that is quadband, like they did for the S700/S710a?

What kind of memory stick do you guys think it will use? The S710a uses mem stick duo which has max of 128mb right now, the w800i uses mem stick pro duo which seems to go up to 2gb. I think most of us would prefer larger capacity....

Am I the only person who does not like this phone? Basically if you are not a 3G user, like most of us, this phone offers nothing more but extended storage and 0.7 megapixels more, compared to the 18 months old S700. I also think the design is childish. At least they could have made it smaller and thinner.

in my opinion it enhances the s700 (my favorite phone ever with the p800) in several points of my interest:

-the way better k750 2.0 mpixel camera with the ultra effective autofocus.
-the new se's interface and probably faster menu speed.
-multi-gb memory stick suport (s700 wasn't a proper mp3 playing device with 128mb)
-slimmer design.
-the new fast port connector.

i am not a 3g user, but these features make it just the phone i was waiting for: a k750 with s700's screen and form factor.

Plus, SE doesn't have a 3G walkman phone. This phone would feel that gap very nicely.

Black Sakura/W850 photos

The rumour about the black version of the next Walkman just went real really fast, with some pictures watermarked by Mobilarena.hu. Setting it a little less iPod nano-style than we thought, the black version doesn't look as glossy as the white one, but still matches the orange bits perfectly. One of the photos shows the Memory Stick DUO Pro slot being in almost the same place as the S700.

UPDATE: Seems like the guy who's got his hands on these phones is going to give us a candy almost every day. Now it's the ¡external remote for MP3 and Radio FM, with a screen!

The remote is a nice feature, indeed. And I sure like the black version more, but there's still something missing here.
Any word on the thickness of the phone? Looks a bit slimmer than the S700, but the official data should say better.
