Ani't not much improvement except, a 3m CCD Cam and Pro Duo support.
As we can see from the pic, key layout has been changed, and the joystick is not a full music playback controler...

But,i do like the live colour of it.

I can't say for sure, but I think there is a camera on the front side, which means UMTS. I don't like the new design and color and I certainly hope that this is NOT the S700 successor. It looks more like a toy, than a high-end device.

Your guess might be right, but as the network provider displayed on the screen, it;s CHN CMCC, i can assure you that it is a GSM network provider in China...not a UMTS...

Personally, I think the S700 looks better - WAY better - than this for a high end phone.

Well, people have different taste of phones, that;s why companies like Nokia is so succssful nowadays...
8800 really got my nervers...but that screen,the quality and size just a crap piece of s**t, i wonder when Nokia will start to equip their phones with decent screens.

I have to say the SE really are trying out different designs. However if this is going to be a high-end model I would be very dissapointed. It looks like something you buy in the toy store.

The green button in the right top corner gives the impression of a remote. Also the navigation button just doesn't fit in the design. Same goes for the three buttons under it.

I won't even start about the colour. Not a colour I would choose for a high-end model.

Yup, I agree with SharkyMark. It's okay if there was a lower phone, but a successor for S700? Don't really know about that.

Btw, I don't think that it's a green button. I think it's a sticker.

This Chinese network may be GSM only, but that doesn't necessarily mean, that the phone won't be UMTS.
Anyway, I see most of the people are supporting my opinion about the design and the total attitude of the phone. The only hope I have is SE to introduce an all-black version. That could in someway hide the bad design.

I think this is only a prototype so the color will probably different or who knows its person in actual.

Btw, Eldar confirmed that this is real but it is not Sakura.

rraz9228, that's the only pix I got, sorry...I think it;s a test version, and got leaked on the net...but we got an idea, what the next Sxxx phone looks like...it;s alright from my point of view.

I;m not a great fan of the current S700, no full screen playback, laggy interface,and I hate the joystick...

So I hope the S800 will be improved...

BTW, the pix were posted by a friend I know who works 4 sonyericsson in China...

It is real but it is not Sakura... and it has dedicated buttons for Play/Stop, next and previous song... maybe we are talking about the Walkman version of the Sakura?
