The screen has better resolution than the Nokia 6600, same as the Siemens SX1, but in the size of 1,8 inches: Pixel size is minuscle and the definition, impressive

More explanatory icons in the keys, which have to be pressed right after one press on the right softkey

Comparing to T610, it's a bit wider, shorter, thicker and lighter. Same overall bulk in the end.

The new joystick feels much more comfortable. Its surface is larger and the touch is softer

The evolved menu system has the best of the known Sony Ericsson vertical list with the old Ericsson horizontal list of icons, combined in a new and highly intuitive interface; of course in addition to the main 12-icon desktop which features new animation effects (watch the video at the bottom of this page)

One of the best improvements in the new interface is the possibility to customize much more things than before. One example is the ability to select an action to every direction of the joystick, when pressed from the status screen. Brilliant!

The right softkey from the status screen brings a list of handy shortcuts

Sound Equalizer for MP3 and Music DJ!

The phone shown in this photos was an early prototype. This image confirms it's using the same platform as the Z1010, but some details could change from now to the final release.

^NOTE: My digital camera records videos at only 10 frames per second, so the animation of the menus in this video doesn't look as smooth as it really is. And believe me, it is REALLY smooth. Very cool.
