The conclusions of this review are pretty much the same as the ones we discussed about Mobique’s also in-depth K750i review, but Kinny Cheng points out how the different product positioning and overall user experience of the W800i made this “a phenomenal handset to review, but in a very different way [as the K750]“. It seems that Sony Ericsson is getting a really positive reaction from the industry for the whole Walkman product positioning thing, with not enough W800 production to meet the high demand (the usual sign that a Sony Ericsson is selling well) and the Walkmanphones100 campaign registering 700.000 votes in 40 days to choose the best 100 songs ever (Queen’s “We are the mobile phone champions” won, by the way). That, or the world just loves white and orange handsets But if more excitement was needed, there’s the next Walkman phone just round the corner! [Thanks Juanmcm for the tip]
