The latest spyshots of the K750 successor are getting seriously convincing, but before that, take a look at the picture above. Supposedly it’s a family shot of the 2006 Sony Ericsson portfolio, and I have enlarged the ones that haven’t been unveiled yet. K800/K750 successor on top right, Mulan/the entry level clamshell Walkman in the middle and… WTF? Anyone knows what the other two on the left side are? Something in the current lineup with faceplates I don’t recognize? Original picture.

There seems to be a press event as soon as this Monday, February 28th, and Mobileburn has first-hand info that at least one of the models being unveiled is going to use the one form factor Sony Ericsson hasn’t touched yet, and we haven’t seen a single spyshot/rumour of: a slider!

But since we know nothing else about that one, let’s focus on the fresh stuff. The latest leaked info/spyshots of the “K800″ give it a 3.2 megapixel camera with Autofocus, Xenon flash, red eye reduction, 16xdigital zoom and a never-seen-before 2-inch QVGA screen, plus “Cybershot” labels everywhere (the back design resembles a T-series Sony Cybershot); all of which fits with the comments we heard during the 3GSM Congress that SE wanted to separate the music phones from the cameraphones (therefore the camera-less M600 and W950).

But is this new flagship candybar going to be a bad music phone? Nope! A Memory Stick M2 slot will give us up to 1Gb memory more than the internal 64mb, and 2Gb cards shouldn’t be far away. The leaked specs mention a weight of 115 grams, 16 heavier than the K750, and at 106 x 47 x 18mm it’s also 6mm taller, 2mm wider and a couple mm’s thinner (thank God, that was getting ugly). Some say there will be two similar phones with all this specs, one 3G, one not. Either way it promises to be as good as a camera as the W950 seems to be as a music player so now I can’t do but wonder… when will we see the Walkshot/Cyberman?
